you misunderstand the rule,if you got marry with your USC

spouse more than 2 yrs,but GC not yet & your spouse dead,then you may use I-360 to apply your GC continuly.
But if you have got your condition GC already, even you
lost your marriage,( no matter divorce or spouse dead )
you still may apply remove your GC condition yourself,
if you can verify your marriage was a real one.
