Mine was renewed in October11th, 2006, AD Oct.22nd, My friend EAD renewal Receive Date: 10/12/2006, AD Dec.11th. All are in VSC.

Question: in case I cannot get it approved on time, will I be laid off? During the gap, can I legally keep in current job position, but without salary payroll and without any work?
A: Depond your company. Yes, you can keepyour positiion without paid. Also you are legally because youare AOS.

Usually you will get your renewed EAD before it is expired.
