Should I I-140?

My wife's EB-1b has been approved; both my wife and I are 485 pending. I have used AP back to China.

Last week my own RIR finally got approved, and my layer asked me to provide information to I-140.

I want to I-140 as backup, but I can not file 485 due to cut off date. My question is: will my current 485 be invalidated if I my own I-140.

Please Xiaobaitu and other experts advise.
