But for you, you need to get waiver for your J1. Once you file your 485, you may get deny notice, but uscis will give you 30 days to respondence the letter. Then you can have time to get your waiver. Actually, you need to get wavier while file your 485. So, you can your waiver on time after you get the deny letter.
