My understanding of new changes are things like these:
1. They were working and now are retired...so they have more time to travel
2. Your hu*****and was a student, now is working or having his graduation...so his parents want to witness that

If I was VO, I would wonder why only you and the child come back to visit your parents-in-law, not their own son visiting them. You may want to prepare a real strong reason. Also remind the VO that they have come to the states, there is no way that they are going to stay here, but for some reason(same as the above) their son can't come back to china, they just want to visit you guys (expecially him and the new baby) for some time and then go back home.
