also, if under AOS, what is my valid I-94 then?

I heard that when we leave the US, we need to I-94 to the custom officer. After I quit my H1, my I-94 (employment based) will be invalid. If I go back to China using AP (while I am on AOS), what I-94 should I give to the custom officer then?
