Have you heard sth called I485 RFE?

You will typically be asked for the most recent paystubs and employment verification letters -- esp. when your case is hanging there for a while.

If you change for example from Biology to Consulting or Quant, and you get RFE...you better prepare yourself very well to convince them those are the same areas.
