Does EAD application requires FP?

My wife's 485 is pending. She recently filed the EAD application with last and first names reversed. She then sent a letter asking for correction. However, She received a request (with the wrong name) for FP last week. So my questions are:

1. Does EAD application normally requires FP?
2. If not, can she just ignore the request?
