Just do it no matter you understood or not. Fp is not a must for interview.

Bring all your original immigration documents. Just only answer honestly the questions they raise . Do not offer to tell more than they ask for.

If you can not make it, you need to go to the local office in person to reschedule. If you do not go there in person, you might jeopardize your 485 application and get rejection since writing a letter can not guranntee the in-time succesful rescheduling.
