I just went through similar situation. As to your case,

1. if u have valid H1B visa, no problem with your I485 application
2. If u have Ap, no problem with your I485
3. Without 1 and 2, only Canadian citizenship, no problem with reentry, but your I485 application is theoratically deemed abandoned.
