Help, mytwocents!!!! about H1b and AP

few months ago, I swithced to new employer, then went back to China for a month and returned by using AP. Now I found out they just sent out my H1b visa application package. Do you think I need go to embassy to activate H1b visa before using it. Thank you for your help.
