Be careful, if you leave USA before AP is approved, you AP application will be rejected (see I-131 instructions). That means you can not get AP while you are out of USA. If you have H or L status in USA, you may leave, and then try to get a new visa in USA embassy, otherwise, your leaving USA without AP means you give up you I-485 application.
