Please help me

I am in the process of immigration to Canada. And yeterday I got a letter from the consultant to ask me to submit some up-to-date documents. One thing I am confused is the criminal clearance they asked for is the general criminal clearance or the fingerprint-based criminal clearance. I have not got any relative information from the canadian official immigration website. So could someone be kind of tell me the correct answer to my question. Thank you very much for your assistance. Sorry I do not have chinese input now. Looking forward to your help.
