I have almost same situation as you. But I got my old EAD last Oct.
I renewed it on line early August and got a confirmation on line immediately. About one week later I got an confirmation and then a finger print appointment on mail. I did finger print 8/17. Then I just waited. I got my new EAD card 9/21.
