請問我見&假博士: legal status I-485

Hi Experts,

Please do me a big favor. My current status is F-1 in OPT. A hospital will concurrently file I –140 and I–485 for me. They believe that in 4~5 months, I can get EDA card. My question is that how to keep my status legal before getting the approval of I-485? There is no way to get H-1 visa. If I get EDA card, do I have to register 9-credits during the Status Adjustment peiod?
