Courts always have a record of its disposition

Sometimes even the police station that arrested u may still keep a record of ur arrest (hard copy) even it was over 10 years ago. lawyers may not have a copy as there is nothing for they to follow up after the matter is concluded.
That's how you get a disposition record in the US, not sure Japan. Check with someone in Japan.
