請教小白兔, am I out of status? I quit F1 and applied H4

Due to conflict with my advisor, I quit F1 and applied for H4. My I-20 expires on 07/30. I ted my application for H4 at JUne12 and received a notice from USCIS at JUne 24. But I still haven't got my H4 and my I-20 already expired. Am I out of status? I don't have a grace period since I did not graduate from a program.
Thanks a lot for answering. I'm quite nervous.
