believe or not, dependent using EAD inviting troubles

Another family,

Wife, main applicant, current OR-140/485 filing, 140 approved last December, I-485 pending

hu*****and: dependent, used EAD to work while I-485 pending.

Wife got her GC yesterday, hu*****and is stuck there

CIS officer explanation: using EAD resulted in the delay of I485 approval.

Any comments??
