Since our I140-NIW(Sept, 2005, Biomed) was approved, we don't need worry too much about our I-485, am I correct? I know we need to wait long long time...

Is AOS just like another visa like H-1B or H-4? Can I stay legally in US on AOS even without EAD (not get paid of course)?
