I suggest to call DOS

Just call to report our concern and suggest to set a more recent cut-off date to avoid wasting visa numbers (which could happen because there will be leftover from EB1).

BEC cases won't be able to use this year's number anyway. The situation will only get worse from October. For EB2/3 people, if there is still some chance, then it is the visa bulletin that will come out in two weeks. So stop guessing, whining, and let us do something!

I called this morning again (the number is 202-663-1541 then press 0 to talk to visa specialists). The guy I was talking to said he will have chance to report to counselors (he said they are the ones who eventually set the cut-off dates) and transfer my concern. I also wrote our state senator about what is facing China EBs.

The visa number is really limited for chinese people, which would be hard to change. So it will be really sad if any of them be wasted. Ask for setting a more recent cut-off date! USCIS won't loose anything, people here can at least 485, and visa numbers will be better used.
