Given that you have filed I-485, your TN renewal should not be approved. You should wait for your EAD. Also, if your I-485 basis is EB140 sponsored by old employer, you should consider asking for H1 sponsorship and switch from EAD to H1 as soon as H1 approval. If on other I-130/I-140 basis, you can use EAD quite safely if I-130/I140 is approved
