status SOS

Hi, everyone,

I am currently a second year PhD student. But I am in danger of losing assistantship and make get kicked out of the program after this June. I am working on H1B visa petition but it is progressing slowly and I am afraid that I will not be able to get granted this year. Do you guys know about any ways to keep legal status and what those attorneys can do for my situation? I do not want to stay in school. I just want to stay in status before I can start another H1B petition after this October for year 2004. Thanks
