just called VSC

Inquired the status on April 2006, and received a letter saying that my background check was pending. Called USCIS one month later, and was told to have call back in 60 days. Today talked with a lady in VSC, and she told that I could call back in 30 days. First she said that my name check was clear; and then she checked something else, and said it was still pending. The namecheck was submitted to FBI in Nov. 2003, several weeks after I submitted I-485. They could do nothing about it. Will call FBI.
