before 140/485 concurrent filing, ppl hv to do it step by step: 140 then 485. with concurrent filing, ppl can apply for benifits like AP, EAD before 140 approval. That is the reason why there is concurrent filing. Maybe my reasoning is wrong. Pardon me, then.
