The key is, you need to have an valid or expired F/J/H,.. (but NOT B) visa stamp from US consulates in CHINA. They don't accept people who originally used B visa to enter USA.
So if you are like this, don't go:
Got B visa to enter USA, then changed status in US or got another US visa in 3rd country. Only the visa(s) you got in China counts and that visa(or not all visas if more than one from China) must not be B.
