I am a F-1 student married with a citizen, but I was a J-1 and still waiting for my waiver.

my question is, should I start to apply green card now or waiting for waiver?

second question, I heard they need waiver for 485, but could I get permition to work before 485? I have finished my master two years ago.

any information will be greatly appreciated.
