If your degree or the job is not qualified, of course there is a real risk of getting denial.
If you and job are qualified, no need to worry. Because H1 does not allow much room for officer's discretion on the petition part. And on the COS/EOS part, if the petition approved and you have no status gap or violation, the COS/EOS should also be approved (thus new I-94 issued)
