Please help with H1B transfer and GC process

My question is after H1B transfered to a new company, does it affect the current Green Card process which sponsored by my current employer?

Is there someway to keep the GC prossess uninterruptted during H1B transfer? My understanding is that once H1B transfered, the old green card process is terminated automatically, is that right?

Please help, the HR people is waiting for my answer. Many thanks.
