How to renew driver license at 485 pending status?

I am currently in 485 pending status with 140 approved. What special rules for renewing driver license in this situation? I remembered they asked me for status proof to renew my license when I am in H1 status and had written a special comment on my renewed license. Should I bring my 485 notice to DMV? BTW, I am in New York.
