Shall I file H4 ASAP?

Hi, I was laid off on Tuesday. I wonder if I should file H4 (my hu*****and has H1) ASAP or I can avoid this and directly file H1 if I find a job in two month.

Regarding this 2 month grace period, every attoney has differenct understanding. I think I can find a job and file H1 in these 2 month. will that affect my status?

I gues filing H4 asap is safer, however is it necessary? Please share your comments and suggestion.
