My question is how to keep H-1b, not to become 'AOS' .

after filing AP & EAD. I just want to file AP & EAD to prepare for any emergency. Actually, I don't want to use them, while my I-485 is pending. If I just file AP & EAD, but not use them, can I extend my H-1B after the third year? Thanks.
