求救H4延期問題

I-140已批,I485pending,老公H1七月到期，需要延期。老婆用EAD臨時工作過一周。律師說"She should absolutely extend her H-4 status, and there is no conflict if she used her EAD during our prior H-4 period".我從壇子裏得到的印象是老婆已經失去了H-4身份。到底可不可以續H4，我有點糊塗。誠心地請教各位專家。
