I read online that many people's Chinese passports are taken when they become American citizens or their green cards have to be turned in. My passport will expire in a couple of months and I just had the fingerprint taken. So I'm not sure whether I should extend my Chinese passport or not. If my naturalization is approved before the passport expires, maybe I shouldn't extend it(my Chinese passport) since I was told I can't use it to go back to China any more.
Thanks. Do you live in California? Is your experience recent?
