H1B transfer and extension URGENT!!!

De wei da xia,
I will work for new employer in May. But my h1b (first 3 year term) will be expired this Sep. Can I process the transfer and extension the same time? If not, do I have enough time (4 month) for the extension after I start the new job in May?
