AP good for H1 but not F1

You can get AP many times if you I485 is pending.

As for the status validity question your proposed, a lwayer told me you can use AP to get back to the states without losing your H1. But this is not true for F1. But I also see websites claim you may even lose H1 if you once use AP. I would suggest you contact a lawyer. And pls do not forget to post your reponse here. Xks.
