Same field is a pretty broad concept. Depended on your NIW petition, your NIW field could be narrow to your specific research topic or could be broad to your entire 專業. Your understanding about same field is basically right. Generally, if you continue your NIW work (broad definition) or apply your research result into industry, you will be considered as in the same field
