You can amend your return within 3 years of filing

by filing Form 1040X (if you are a US resident)

You can deduct your tuition expense on your return, but the highest amount you can deduct from your taxable income is $4000 for 2004, if you are a US resident and file Form 1040. If you didn't make much money during those years, it won't help you much.
