Use Basic biomedical research to link your career. My opinion is that the history makes me succcessful in applying NIW. I get my B Sci in Animal Physiology, MS in Animal Pharmacology and PhD. in Neuroscience, postdoc in neurodegenerative disease first and then in frog metamorphosis. So record your history and find every piece of evidence to support it. Such as, I show them an Email that I successfully predicted the Nobel prize winner some time ago. But better organization is very important. Good luck.
