Your wife needs an ITIN number. You have to file W7 to get one for her. Read the instruction on W7 regarding how to do it. You probably need to send your joint return, w7 and your wife's passort to IRS.
If you do not have enough time to do it. You have two options. 1) file extension request. 2) File as single this year and file 1040-X to correct it later.
