國內M.D. Ph.D.,生物醫學5年postdoc. Top 20 university. 2 1st author paper in JBC in US, 3 1st author paper in china in chinese journals, 6 coauthor paper. total 40 citations. One university award in US, six national and city awards in china, 7 very strong letters in initial submission(not from NIH and VIP).

INS asked for official letter of the award in US and my name in NIH grant as key person in RFE.

I pepared following documents for RFE:

1. official letter of the award in US
2. 7 grants with my name in them as a key person
3. consultant in another boss's NIH RO1 grant
4. 4 more citations since initial submission, two are reviews including Science and another non-SCI one
5. 3 more strong letters, 2 from heads of NIH, 1 from yuan shi


我的case總體來說還算順利，RFE主要是碰上了一個picky的移民官。幸好RFE應對得當，一星期就批了。

我請了樓上左第二位律師chicago office 的 zhang tao. 個人感覺，zhang tao 人很nice，敬業也有經驗, 我挺喜歡她。我的一個朋友DIY，一個月就批了，沒有RFE.

總體感覺，NIW的運氣成分是很大的。
