I am going to a conference in China and apply for H1-B in early March. However, I have just filed i-140 and I-485 concurrently in September, 2005. My I-140 is pending. Is there any risk not to get the visa? I have 5 student visa and 1 B-1 on my passport but have never obtained an H1-B before. I can also get a letter from another US government agency stating the purpose of travel is to represent the agency.
Although H1-B has dual intentions, is it a problem to apply for it because I filed 485?
I haven't applied for advance parole yet but seems like I am on a really tight schedule to do that. Would anybody with experience suggest it?
Thanks a ton!
