Only English version (156, 157 form) needed

Hi:
I noticed in US Consulate-Shanghai web site that for non-immigration visa application, only English is required (156 electronic form filled out on-line)
starting from January 1, 2006. The Chinese version is no longer required.
Does any one apply this year with this new procedure?
