Honestly, don't come. Life is much more than just research. You maybe able to adjust, what about your wife and kid? Don't say there is no age discrimination in US, that is bullshit. When you finish your Ph.D, you may be close to 40. How many more years can you work? In addition, are you confident with your English? Many people still speak broken English after many years Ph.D. life. No kidding. It is a great risk to take, and the gain may not worth the risk or may come too late.
