How to terminate the service with lawyer?

My I-140 was approved. I have the receipt. 485 and 765(EAD) were filed through the lawyer. Received RFE for 765, was asked for some color copy of IDs. But my lawyer charged for this, a lot of money. So if I terminate the service with the lawyer, what is the consequence, what will happen to my 485. Anybody with similar situation or experience please let me know. Especially, after I terminate the relation with my lawyer, what document I have to file to USCIS.
