I'm using EAD of J2

The two cards look similar except for the alien number and category (C09 based on 485 pending; C05 on J2).My concern is we're in modification of status (MOS) instead of on J-2. We might get problem if the immigration office checks and finds our using J2 EAD. Does my concern make sense?
