For EB1(b) cases, your employer's support is more important than that of a lawyer since this category requires proof of permanent job offer. A lawyer's expertise only comes into play when RFE is involved. The burden is squarely on your should during the preparation, which includes but is not limited to: collecting papers and presentation materials published by you, recruiting reference letter "signees", drafting each reference letter, compiling citation records of your publications, etc. Normally your employer is going to cover part of, if not all of, the legal cost. Talk to your supervisor or HR manager and win their support. If you have more than $5,000 in the bank, better find a reliable lawyer.

Good luck!
