If you will graduate by then, why should you renew F1 (or I-20 to be precise). You don't extend I-20 unless you won't be graduating on time. What you should do is going for OPT (one type of F1 extension) although there is a risk of denial. or H1B if you can find an employer who sponsors.
Or nothing wrong to use AP/EAD given that your self-petitioned I-140 has been approved.
