Yes, valid for one month only

I applied the Canadian visas for my parents in June. We went there in July. For single entry visitor's visa, it is valid for only one month.

But it is fast to get it. It took us only 2 weeks to get it in mail. If you apply in person, you will get it on the same day (go there early in the morning, get it in the afternoon.) Very easy to get it.
