Yes.

I got all my cleared checks back, and my bank keeps the copy. That's what I asked at the beginning when I openned my account.

You can just go to your bank, spend a small fee ($6?), they will give you a copy.

You can also ask your bank to change the service, send all the cashed checks back to you, they keep the copies, not the other way around.
