about biometrics

Dear all,

I received copy of 485 receipt notice from lawyer yesterday. It says:

The next step is to have your biometrics taken at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC).

Call customer service at 1.800.375.5283 to schedule your appointment...we cannot complete certain steps in processing until you appear for this appointment
---

Does this mean I should go ahead and call the 800 number to schedule an appointment, or I should wait for a specific notice from VSC asking me to do the biometrics?

Please advise. Thanks!!
